M400 RubrPrime
SEBS Asphalt Primer
USES: M400 RubrPrime is an asphalt primer as well as an excellent protective coating for foundations, gutters, concrete, metal, and wood. RubrPrime can also be used over corrugated metal, metal flashings, and other metals exposed to the weather so as to prevent rust and corrosion. RubrPrime is compatible with SEBS, APP, and SBS roofing products, and will adhere to most surfaces including roofing, wood, metal, glass, and concrete.
DIRECTIONS: M400 RubrPrime is friendly to apply, even in cool to hot temperatures. Use a medium stiff bristle brush, a squeegee, or asphalt cutback spray equipment. Warm RubrPrime to room temperature for easiest application. Clean gravel, vegetation, and debris from the application area. Rusted metals should be cleaned of loose rust. Apply RubrPrime directly from the container, without diluting. When applying RubrPrime over newly poured concrete, allow the concrete to completely dry so as to prevent water blisters. RubrPrime has a smooth paint-like consistency. Apply RubrPrime at the rate of .5 to 1 gallon per 100 square feet, depending upon the porosity of the surface. RubrPrime should set up in less than 24 hours per the quantity applied and the weather conditions.
DESCRIPTION: M400 RubrPrime is an SEBS asphalt primer coating. When RubrPrime is applied, it forms a smooth black surface. RubrPrime has excellent penetrating qualities, which are critical for a primer. RubrPrime is a patented breakthrough achieved by Fields in SEBS chemistry. The SEBS rubber in RubrPrime provides maximum elastic performance against thermal shock, the daily expansion and contraction of a roof caused by temperature changes. SEBS rubber polymers are the only ones known to effectively resist the sun's destructive UV rays that attack the roof membrane making it brittle and weak, inducing membrane ruptures during thermal shock cycles. RubrPrime is your best defense against these attacks. With RubrPrime, your roofing and waterproofing installations will perform much longer.
SEBS RUBBER: The SEBS rubber in M400 RubrPrime provides greater flexibility, lower moisture permeability, greater fatigue resistance, better weathering durability, greater tensile strength, higher temperature stability, and improved resistance to UV rays, ozone attacks, and roof oils.
SPECIFICATION: M400 RubrPrime exceeds the standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials ASTM D 41. Maximum VOC is 475 grams per liter.
PACKAGING: M400 RubrPrime is available in 5 gallon pails, 55 gallon drums, and bulk.
