M150 RubrSeal
All Weather SEBS Asphalt

USES: M150 RubrSeal stops leaks in the rain. It even adheres under water. As RubrSeal is applied, it seeks out the leak and temporarily seals it until a permanent repair can be made. RubrSeal is also an excellent protective coating for roofs, foundations, gutters, concrete, metal, and wood. In addition, RubrSeal repairs surface fissures, seals laps on roll roofing, adheres waterproofing sheets, and bonds roll roofing to the deck. RubrSeal can even be applied as an asphalt primer at reduced application rates. RubrSeal is compatible with APP, SBS and SEBS modified bitumen roofing products and will adhere to most surfaces including roofing, wood, metal, rubber, plastic, glass, and concrete.

DIRECTIONS: M150 RubrSeal is friendly to apply, even in below freezing, wet conditions. Warm RubrSeal to room temperature for easiest application. Clean away all loose gravel, dirt, vegetation, and debris from the application area. Use a medium stiff bristle brush or asphalt cutback spray equipment to apply RubrSeal directly from the container, without diluting. When applying to a wet surface, brush and work the RubrSeal onto the surface until a secure bond is achieved. Make emergency roof repairs with RubrSeal, by marking out a 10 foot square area, with the suspected leak centered. Within the 10 foot square, generously apply about 15 gallons of RubrSeal. When weather permits, repair the surface break with a reinforcing sheet. Repair surface fissures with RubrSeal, by installing PolyWeb for reinforcement. Form a three layer repair by first brushing a generous application of RubrSeal over the break and beyond the width and length of the PolyWeb you intend to install. Second, lightly brush the PolyWeb into the RubrSeal. Third, carefully brush a generous application of RubrSeal over the entire repair, making sure to completely cover the PolyWeb. For severe breaks, apply additional layers of RubrSeal and PolyWeb. Apply a protective coating with RubrSeal, by first sealing any leaking penetrations with M300 RubrMastic and repairing all surface breaks with RubrSeal and PolyWeb. Then, generously apply RubrSeal at the rate of 5 gallons per 100 square feet. Maximum protection and reduced energy costs, apply M800 RubrStar over the RubrSeal. Allow the RubrSeal a minimum of 90 days to set up before applying the RubrStar.

DESCRIPTION: M150 RubrSeal is an all weather SEBS asphalt. The many uses for RubrSeal make it one of the most versatile roofing and waterproofing products ever engineered. Select raw materials have been formulated into an asphalt coating and adhesive that challenges the laws of physics by actually adhering under water. RubrSeal is a patented breakthrough achieved by Fields in SEBS chemistry. The SEBS rubber in RubrSeal provides maximum elastic performance against thermal shock, the daily expansion and contraction of a roof caused by temperature changes. SEBS rubber polymers are the only ones known to effectively resist the sun's destructive UV rays that attack the roof membrane making it brittle and weak, inducing membrane ruptures during thermal shock cycles. RubrSeal is your best defense against these attacks. With RubrSeal, your roofing and waterproofing installations will perform much longer. RubrSeal is asbestos free and has an Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Class A Fire Rating.

SEBS RUBBER: The SEBS rubber in M150 RubrSeal provides greater flexibility, lower moisture permeability, greater fatigue resistance, better weathering durability, greater tensile strength, higher temperature stability, and improved resistance to UV rays, ozone attacks, and roof oils.

SPECIFICATIONS: M150 RubrSeal exceeds the standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials ASTM D 4479, Type 1. Maximum VOC is 325 grams per liter.

PACKAGING: M150 RubrSeal is available in 1 gallon cans, 5 gallon pails, 55 gallon drums, and bulk.
