F600 FlameBloc
ModBit Fibered Aluminum
USES: F600 FlameBloc protects surfaces exposed to the sun's destructive ultraviolet (UV) rays. FlameBloc increases the service life of roofs, as well as reduces energy costs by lowering inside building temperatures. FlameBloc is compatible with SEBS, APP, and SBS modified bitumen asphalts and will adhere to most surfaces including roofing, wood, metal, rubber, plastic, glass, and concrete. FlameBloc forms a metallic, reflective shield that protects and beautifies.
DIRECTIONS: New asphalt surfaces shall be allowed to set up a minimum of 90 days prior to applying F600 FlameBloc. FlameBloc is friendly to apply, especially in moderate temperatures. Clean gravel, dirt, vegetation, and debris from the application area. Seal any leaking penetrations and repair all surface fissures with M300 RubrMastic and PolyWeb. Prime the surface to be coated along with any uncoated masonry and new metal with M400 RubrPrime. Use a thick nap roller, medium stiff bristle brush, or low pressure spray equipment to apply FlameBloc directly from the container without diluting. Thoroughly stir FlameBloc just prior to application, working the aluminum pigment up from the bottom of the container. Apply FlameBloc at the rate of 1.5 gallons per 100 square feet.
DESCRIPTION: F600 FlameBloc is a fibered aluminum coating made especially for fire rated modified bitumen roofs. FlameBloc has been engineered to provide a Class A Fire Rating over most roofing including SEBS, APP, and SBS roofs. Select raw materials, including 100% oxidized roofing asphalt, have been formulated to make FlameBloc a premium aluminum coating. FlameBloc provides superior elastic performance against thermal shock, the daily expansion and contraction of a roof caused by temperature changes. In addition, the sun's UV rays attack the roof membrane making it brittle and weak, inducing membrane ruptures during thermal shock cycles. FlameBloc is your best defense against these attacks. With FlameBloc, your roofing installations will perform much longer. FlameBloc is asbestos free.
SPECIFICATIONS: F600 FlameBloc exceeds the minimum standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials ASTM D 2824 Type 3. Maximum VOC 500 grams per liter.
PACKAGING: F600 FlameBloc is available in 1 gallon cans, 5 gallon pails, 55 gallon drums, and bulk.
