F460 WatrStop
All Weather Damproof Coating
USES: F460 WatrStop protects surfaces exposed to the weather. WatrStop is an excellent protective coating for foundations, gutters, concrete, metal, and wood. It can also be used over corrugated metal, metal flashings, and equipment to prevent rust and corrosion. WatrStop will adhere to most surfaces including wood, metal, rubber, plastic, glass, and concrete.
DIRECTIONS: F460 WatrStop is friendly to apply, even in cool to moderate temperatures. Warm WatrStop to room temperature for easiest application. Clean away all dirt, vegetation, and debris from the application area. Severely rusted areas shall be cleaned of all loose rust, primed with zinc chromate or red lead, and allowed to dry before applying WatrStop. Applications over newly poured masonry shall be done after complete drying to prevent water blisters. Use a medium stiff bristle brush or asphalt cutback spray equipment to apply WatrStop directly from the container, without diluting. WatrStop applies as a smooth paint-like consistency. To apply a protective coating with WatrStop, first seal any leaking penetrations and repair all surface breaks with M300 RubrMastic. Then, generously apply WatrStop at the rate of 3 gallons per 100 square feet. For maximum protection and reduced energy costs, apply M800 RubrStar over the WatrStop. Allow the WatrStop a minimum of 90 days to set up before applying the RubrStar.
DESCRIPTION: F460 WatrStop is a leading edge cutback foundation coating manufactured from 100% oxidized asphalt. WatrStop forms a waterproof surface and provides good weather protection over metal and masonry surfaces. Its excellent penetrating qualities eliminate the need for priming. WatrStop provides superior elastic performance against thermal shock, the daily expansion and contraction of a roof caused by temperature changes. In addition, the sun's UV rays attack the roof membrane making it brittle and weak, inducing membrane ruptures during thermal shock cycles. WatrStop is your best defense against these attacks. With WatrStop, your waterproofing installations will perform much longer. WatrStop is asbestos free.
SPECIFICATIONS: F460 WatrStop exceeds the standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials ASTM D 3019, Type I, Grade 1. Maximum VOC is 300 grams per liter.
