A860 AtcoBrite
Reflective Elastomeric White
USES: A860 AtcoBrite is a relatively high solids, white liquid applied acrylic elastomer coating. It forms a seamless, self-flashing monolithic waterproof membrane that chemically bonds to the substrate or base coat. AtcoBrite fills and reinforces gaps, has outstanding strength, and long term flexibility.
DESCRIPTION: A860 AtcoBrite has a solar reflective surface with a durable acrylic finish that resists dirt. AtcoBrite also has an excellent coverage rate with low labor costs. In addition, AtcoBrite is resistant to chemical, biological, and ultraviolet (UV) degradation. AtcoBrite has an Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Class A Fire Rating.
DIRECTIONS: Clean away all loose gravel, dirt, vegetation, and debris from the application area. Seal any leaking penetrations and repair all membrane breaks with M300 RubrMastic. Prime the surface to be coated along with any uncoated masonry and new metal with M400 RubrPrime. Use a roller or asphalt emulsion spray equipment, to apply both RubrGard and A860 AtcoBrite directly from their container without diluting. To apply over built-up roofs with AtcoBrite, thoroughly stir the AtcoBrite just prior to application. Then apply AtcoBrite at the rate of 3/4 gallons per 100 square feet. To install a waterproofing fabric with AtcoBrite, select either PolyWeb, or GlasWeb. Then, generously brush 1 1/2 gallons per 100 square feet of AtcoBrite in a complete 3 foot wide strip as an adhesive beneath the first roll of fabric. Set the sheet into the AtcoBrite, making sure it unrolls straight and without any wrinkles. Carefully press the sheet into the AtcoBrite by lightly brushing the surface until complete adhesion and penetration is achieved. Do not step on the sheet until the AtcoBrite has set up. Continue installing each successive roll of fabric by overlapping the prior sheet 2" on the seams. For each additional layer of fabric, repeat the above process using 2 gallons per 100 square feet of AtcoBrite in a complete interply application. Center the rolls of each additional layer of fabric over the seams of the prior layer. Apply a final surface coating of AtcoBrite at the rate of 3 gallons per 100 square feet. To apply over new roofs with AtcoBrite, after preparatory cleaning, apply AtcoBrite at the rate of 3/4 gallons per 100 square feet to all horizontal, vertical joints, and seams. Before AtcoBrite dries, embed PolyWeb or GlasWeb (at least 6" wide) over center of seam. Work the sheet into the AtcoBrite so as to saturate the sheet. Apply the first coat of AtcoBrite at the rate of 1 1/2 gallons per 100 square feet. Roll or spray in one direction only, avoiding wide sweeps. Allow AtcoBrite to dry for 24 hours. After first coat has dried, apply a second coat of AtcoBrite at the rate of 1 1/2 gallons per 100 square feet in a right-angle direction to the first coat.
